Mr. Brian W. Bacon, Jr. 47, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mr. Bacon was born June 1, 1970 in Newark, NJ to Mary Frances Bacon and the late BW Bacon. He attended the Catholic schools of Newark, NJ, and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. Mr. Bacon was a former employee of National Manufacturing Co., Inc., Chatham, NJ. His favorite pastime was fishing. Cherishing his memories are his mother, Mary Frances Higgins Bacon of Chase City, VA; one brother, Abdullah Rashid (Yvette Murphy) of Newark, NJ; one aunt, Ruth Howard; one uncle, JW Howard; two nephews, Corey James and Edward Tyler, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Brian W. Bacon, Jr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 19, 2018 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bacon Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
