Bonnie Ruth Hector-Jackson

Mrs. Bonnie Hector McCorkle Jackson, 79, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, July 18, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Jackson was born in Cleveland County, NC October 14, 1933 to the late Pattie J. and Latham McCorkle. She moved to Chase City, VA at an early age and was a graduate of the Thyne Institute.  She was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA, where she sang in the choir.  She was formerly employed by Mobay Chemicals and Bayer Corporation in Haledon, NJ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hector was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver C. Jackson. Cherishing her memories are two daughters, Betty J. Hector McBride of Washington, DC and Pamula Maria Jackson of Chase City, VA; one adopted son, Timothy L. Hector (Donna); one adopted grandson, Dennis R. Richardson of Ft. Hood, TX; four sisters, Pansy Lovelace (Harold) of Washington, DC, Easter Coffield of Chase City, VA, Beatrice H. Washington (William) of Chase City, VA and Minnie Pearl Hector of Newark, NJ; three brothers, Henry Hector (Lucy) of Augusta, GA, Ed Hector (Annie) of Jonesboro, GA and Irow Hector (Beverly) of Annandale, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Hector McCorkle Jackson will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Lawrence T. Wilkerson,  officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time.
