Bobby Henry Davis

Mr. Robert Henry Davis “Bobby”, 71 of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Davis was born in Lunenburg County, VA July 20, 1941 to the late Robert and Annie Mae Watts Davis. He attended the schools of Lunenburg County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. There he served faithfully as a trustee and President of the usher board until his health began to decline. Mr. Davis was formerly employed at Burlington Industries of Clarksville, VA and later by the Mecklenburg County School System until retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Tucker Davis, two sisters and five brothers. Cherishing his memories are his children, Robert Davis Jr. of Chase City, VA Brian Davis (Tara) of Gwinnett County, GA, Holly and Amanda Davis of Warren County, NC; nine grandchildren, one great-grandson; three brothers, Isaac Davis of Chase City, VA, William Davis of Chase City, VA and Frank Davis of Washington, DC; two sisters, Mary Frances Boyd of Washington, DC and Hattie Davis of Chase City, VA; one aunt, three sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law; devoted friend, Alice Wilson and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Robert Henry Davis “Bobby” will be conducted 2:00 Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA with Rev. William Moore, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Service 2:00 P.M.
