Bessie Mae Bullock Moore

Mrs. Bessie Mae Bullock Moore, 69, of Chase City, VA exchanged time for eternity on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Moore was born in Mecklenburg County, VA September 19, 1949 to the late Jeanette Bullock Anderson. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. At an early age she joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Skipwith, VA. She was employed by Hampco Apparel for over 20 years before retiring. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Moore; a grandson, Donald Bass Jr.; three brothers, John, Robert and Edward, and two sisters, Rosa and Queen. Cherishing her memories are three children, Patrick Moore (Cassandra) of Drakes Branch, VA, BeQuallia Mae Bullock of Chase City, VA and Lesia Daniel (Clyde) of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; her brother, Leroy M. Bullock (Phyllis) of Chase City, VA, devoted friend, Thomas Osborne, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Mae Bullock Moore will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Bishop Vincent Harris delivering the eulogy. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
