Bessie Easter Baskerville Hester

Mrs. Bessie Easter Baskerville Hester 83, of Boydton, Virginia entered eternal rest  Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA.  Mrs. Hester was born in Boydton, VA on August 28, 1927 to the late Peter and Viola Alexander Baskerville.  She was a member of Lands Chapel RZUA, where she was a member of the Usher board.  She married Dossie O. Hester, who preceded her in death, as well as three children, Norman Hester, Zenobia Hester, and William C. Lassiter, as well as three sisters and a brother. Cherishing her memories are nine children, Bernice Y. B. Grandison, Atlanta, GA, Thelma Fleming- Harris, Plainfield, NJ, Karen R. Hester-Ross, Boydton, VA, Regina L. McKinney (Daryl), Patricia Benjamin (Burl), all of Allentown, PA, Dossie Ray Hester (Veronica), Greensboro, NC, David Hester (Cheryl), Fayetteville, NC, Glen T. Hester and  Aubrey L. Hester (Darlene) of Atlanta, GA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a vast number of loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Easter Baskerville Hester will be conducted at 11:00A.M. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Lands Chapel RZUA Church, Boydton, VA ,with Rev Lovely Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.
