Mr. Bertram Maurice Abrams, 79, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Chase City Health and Rehab Center.


Mr. Abrams was born in White Plains, NY on September 11, 1945 to the late Matilda Abrams. He was a graduate of Woodland High School in White Plains, NY and was a member of Union Baptist Church in White Plains. Mr. Abrams was a retiree of Greenburgh Parks & Recreation with over 22 years of dedicated service. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and listening to Motown music.


In addition to his mother, Mr. Abrams was preceded in death by his stepfather, Grant Abrams, Sr; and five siblings, Rodney, Grant, Jr., Arnold, Yvette and LaCrista Abrams.


He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Everlyn Daniel Abrams of Saxe, VA; daughter,  Ahmeda Abrams of Tarrytown, NY; three grandchildren, Jerrell, Aubrey and Malik: two great-grandchildren, Trent and Trina; three brothers, Peyton Abrams (Cheryl) of Texas, George Abrams and Clifton Abrams (Bridget) both of White Plains, NY; one sister, Gaye Abrams of White Plains, NY, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.


Funeral services for Mr. Bertram Maurice Abrams will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Phillip Staten, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. at the church.


Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
