Mrs. Bertha Mae Garner, 70, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, December 2, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Garner was born in Buffalo Junction, VA June 22, 1949 to the late Jasper and Mabel D. Jeffers Ogburn. She attended West End High School in Skipwith, VA, and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church. Mrs. Garner was previously employed as a packer for Dollar General Warehouse. She enjoyed reading her bible, crossword puzzles, and Little House on the Prairie. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her husband, Marcellous N. Garner, Sr, and one sister, Mary Annette Tucker. Cherishing her memories are one son, Marcellous N. Garner, Jr. (Rynisha) of Skipwith, VA; five grandchildren, Teyha, Marcellous, Amarrion, Mason and Allen Garner; six brothers, James E. Ogburn (Lena) of Fayetteville, NC, Jasper Ogburn, Jr. of Chase City, VA, David Ogburn (Brenda) of Hillsboro, NC, Alfreddie Ogburn (Louise) and Michael Ogburn (Valarie) all of Maryland, and John Ogburn (Lynette) of Front Royal, VA; two sisters, Catherine Ogburn of Fayetteville, NC and Elizabeth A. Pulliam (Morton, Jr.) of Arlington, VA; three aunts, Shirley Johnson, Blanche Spradley and Dorothy Kearse; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mrs. Bertha Mae Garner will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 6, 2019 at St. Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Curtis Moore officiating. Arrangements are by C.
