Bernice Fannie Dailey

Mrs. Bernice Fannie Dailey, 91, of Clarksville entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston. Mrs. Dailey was born in Charlotte County on August 5, 1928 to the late Walter and Dorothy Hodge Meade. She attended Organ Hill School and Gethsemane United Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch. Mrs. Dailey was a homemaker who enjoyed watching television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Dailey, Sr.; three sons, Walter Meade, Andre Meade and Jerry Dailey; her brother, Berchen Meade, and three grandchildren, Knarvell Dailey, Jr., Walter Meade, Jr. and Adriane Dailey. Cherishing her memories are six children, Michael Dailey (Esther) of Oxford, NC, Knarvell Dailey (Kim) of San Diego, CA, Homer Dailey, Jr. (Rose) of Clarksville, Michelle Thompson of Charlotte, NC, Doris Barksdale (Jimmy) of Boydton, and Sandra Garrett (Keith) of Clover; 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Lucretia Wilson of Sunrise, FL; daughter-in-law, Diane Meade, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Bernice Fannie Dailey will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City with Rev. Chester Terry delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at C. H. Harris Funeral Home in Buffalo Junction. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
