Mrs. Bernice A. Pettus, 84, of South Hill, VA and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA.Mrs. Pettus was born in Florence South Carolina, Jan 17, 1923 and was employed as a cook before her health failed. She was married to the late Arthur Pettus.Cherishing her memory is a niece, Shirley Harris of Cleveland, OH and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.A graveside service for Mrs. Pettus will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007 at Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
