Bernard Alphonso Hester

Mr. Bernard A. Hester, 59, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, July 1, 2017. Mr. Hester was born in Paterson, NJ June 9, 1958 to the late Grady Hester, Jr. and Doris Wilson Hester. He was a veteran of the US Army and a former employee of Newcomb’s Appliance Service, Chase City, VA. Cherishing his memories are one son, Jeffrey L. Carrington (Geneva) of Clover, VA; two grandchildren, JaNiyah S. Carrington and Nyeshia N. Perez both of Clover, VA; his mother, Mrs. Doris Wilson Hester of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Winifred Dodson (Rev. Reginald), Wanda Hester and Wendolyn Hester all of Chase City, VA; two brother, Bryan Hester and Byrone Hester and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Bernard A. Hester will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Reginald Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, 10:00 AM until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chase City, VA.
