Beatrice Hector Washington

Mrs. Beatrice Hector Washington, 79, of Chase City, VA transitioned from this earthly world on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Mrs. Washington was born in Chase City, VA April 5, 1943 to the late Porter and Cleo Norris Hector. She attended Westside High School in Newark, NJ and was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Washington; brothers, Lawyer, Henry L., Jimmie L. and Porter Hector Jr., and a sister, Mary Bell Smithson She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Michelle D. Washington (Tim) of Columbia, MD; six grandchildren, Christopher, Aaries, Erin Simone, Messiah, Zyiion and Legaci; an adopted daughter, Catherine Richardson and her two children of New Jersey; God-daughters, Rita Gilbert, Rose Gilbert and Nicole Latimer Wood; her sister, Pearl Hector of Newark, NJ; a brother, Edward Hector of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Pastor Inez Delores Dillard; brothers-in-law, Charles R. Washington and Benjamin Washington, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Bluestone Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Lawrence T. Wilkerson, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Friday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
