Barbara B. Williams

Mrs. Barbara Blunt Williams, 61 of Chase City, VA fell asleep in death Friday, January 11, 2013 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Williams was born in Southampton County, VA September 5, 1951 to the late Gospel and Clara Richardson Blunt. She attended the Schools of Southampton County, VA and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, South Hill congregation. She served for many years as a regular pioneer. Mrs. Williams was a self-employed Avon representative. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Jones and one brother, Frank Blunt. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Jimmie Williams of Chase City, VA; six step-children, Morris Xavier Williams (Ida) of Roselle, NJ, Dorothy W. Jones of Kenbridge, VA, Donna Williams and April Williams of Chase City, VA, Malinda Williams of Boydton, VA and Denise Davis of Woodbridge, VA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Annie Edwards and Viola Lucas (Frank) of Emporia, VA, Bessie Chavis of Conyers,GA, Elsie Harris (Melvin) and Tuwanna Okafor of Chesapeake, VA, Ruth Edwards and Georgette White (Dennis) of Portsmouth, VA; four brothers, Gospel Blunt, Jr. (Ardella) of Emporia, VA, Eddie Blunt (Vivian) of Newport News, VA, Elvis Blunt (Peronica) of Emporia, VA and Joseph Blunt of Lawrenceville, VA, a foster brother, Willie Reese of Ewing, NJ; two brothers-in-law, Frank Williams of Skippers, VA and Ronnie Williams of Emporia, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mrs. Barbara Blunt Williams will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, South Hill, VA with Jim White delivering the talk. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
