Avon Denise Roberts

Ms. Avon Denise Roberts, 63, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her residence. Ms. Roberts was born in Halifax County, VA to the late JC and Madeline Boyd Roberts. She attended West End High School, Clarksville, VA and was a member of Greater Union Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mrs. Roberts was a former nurse’s aide. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bryant and Al Roberts. Cherishing her memories are two sons, LaRoyal Roberts and Donnell Roberts both of Chase City, VA; two daughters, Tracey Roberts of Henderson, NC and Sophfeia Ware (Trey) of Henrico, VA, 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three brothers, Ronnie Roberts, Connell Roberts (Sherri) and Calvin Boyd all of Chase City, VA; one sister, Shirley Powell (Jessie Boyd) of Chase City, VA, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Avon Denise Roberts will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
