Aurelia Jeffress Jefferson

Mrs. Aurelia Jeffress Jefferson, 97, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, February 28, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Jefferson was born in Mecklenburg County, VA February 1, 1925 to the late Anderson and Daisy Taylor Jeffress. She attended Bluestone Mission School and was a member of Saint Level Baptist Church. In her leisure Mrs. Jefferson enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and caring for everyone’s children. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jefferson was preceded in death by her husband, Ruffin Jefferson; a daughter, Marion Ann Jeffress; a son, Anderson Jeffress; four sisters, Flodell Jeffress, Flossie Walker, Hattie Fields and Daisy Fuller, and three brothers, Leslie, Alfonso, and Walter Jeffress. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Henry Jeffress of Skipwith, VA; three daughters, Elsie Jeffress, Delores Williams (Leroy) both of Chase City, VA and Geneva Hickman of Skipwith, VA; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Thomas Jeffress of Baltimore, MD; daughter-in-law, Rev. Easter Jeffress, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside service for Mrs. Aurelia Jeffress Jefferson will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Saint Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney Smith officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2PM until 6 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
