Arnell Bowers Heyward

Mrs. Arnell Bowers Heyward, 81, of South Hill, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at VCU Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Heyward was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on July 1, 1936 to the late Carol and Gertrude Alexander Bowers. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Jerusalem Temple UHC, Boydton, VA, where she served as Church Mother. Mrs. Heyward was formerly employed by Newark International Airport, retiring as a security guard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Heyward was preceded in death her husband, John H. Heyward and three siblings, Carrol Bowers, Francis Morse and Douglas Bowers. Cherishing her memories are two daughters, Patrice Parks of Clarksville, VA and Renata Denise Muwwakkil of Holiday, FL; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
