Anthony Lee Wood

Mr. Anthony Lee Wood, 49, of Keysville, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Centra Southside Community Hospital, Farmville, VA.

Mr. Wood was born in Halifax County, VA on July 23, 1974 to Joyce Ann Wood and the late Calvin Lee Bishop. He attended Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte Court House and The House of Prayer in Buffalo Junction. Mr. Wood was formerly employed by Morgan Lumber Company in Red Oak. In his spare time, he enjoyed DJing and listening to music.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Blanche and James Wood; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Frances Bishop.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Dontrell McCargo of Raleigh, NC, Elijah Haskins of Boydton, VA and Michah Lovelace-Felder of Keysville, VA; two daughters, Paris Wood of Prospect Hill, NC and Jasmine Lawson of South Boston, VA; his mother, Joyce Ann Wood; three grandchildren; six aunts, two uncles, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Antony Lee Wood will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M.
