Anthony Andrew Patterson, Sr.

Mr. Anthony Andrew Patterson Sr., 61, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Patterson was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on December 31, 1963 to Elsie Andrews Patterson and the late William Patterson. At an early age he joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Chase City, and was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, Class of 1982. Mr. Patterson was formerly employed by Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative, and spent his last 20+ years as a dedicated employee driving trucks for Walmart Distribution Center.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Irene Andrews; and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Angerona Patterson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Pamela D. Patterson of Chase City, VA; one son, Anthony Patterson, Jr. (Nicole) of Chase City, VA; his parents, Elsie and Robert Hatcher of Chase City, VA; brother, Allen Patterson (Debra) of Chase City, VA; sister, Vanessa Richardson (Melvyn) of Prince George, VA; two sisters-in-law, Betty Davis of Clarksville, VA and Diane Davis of Chase City, VA; one aunt, Joyce Peaks of Mt. Juliet, TN, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Anthony Andrew Patterson, Sr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Waverly Brown, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M.
