Mrs. Annie P. Wardrick, 73, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.
Mrs. Wardrick was born in Chatham, VA on March 4, 1951 to the late Sara Lucille Robinson and Hobert Price. She attended Chatham High School and then studied Business Management at Strayer University in Woodbridge, VA. Mrs. Wardrick was formerly employed by Washington Gas Light Company with 21 years of dedicated service.
Mrs. Wardrick loved the Lord, and when she wasn’t teaching, she was mentoring. She enjoyed reading, cooking, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed watching her singing, dancing, crime and game shows.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, William H. Price, Johnnie Irvin Price, David Eugene Price and Rev. Moses Lee Price; and one sister, Beatrice Price.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, George L. Wardrick, III of Boydton, VA; children, Bernard Wardrick, Chauncey Wardrick, Lila Wardrick, John Geer, Ayleia Geer, Travis Wardrick and Michael Smith (Godson); twenty-one grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah F. Boyd; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Price and Nadine Price, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie P. Wardrick will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Kenyatta Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Easter's Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing will begin on Sunday from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M.
