Annie Mae Whitehead

Mrs. Annie Mae Whitehead, 83, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at Waccamaw Community Hospital, Murrells Inlet, SC. Mrs. Whitehead was born in Charlotte County, VA March 21, 1925 to the late Stephen and Jennie E. Brooks Mosley. She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA; later in life she moved to Arlington, VA. While in Arlington, VA she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was an employee of Arlington Hospital. Upon retirement and returning to Red Oak, VA she reunited with Salem Baptist Church. Cherishing her memories are one nephew, Mr. Willie S. Mosley Jr. (Margaret) of Red Oak, VA; one niece, Mrs. Vernell M. Rawls (Herbert)of Baltimore, MD; one great-nephew, Michael Rawls; one great niece, Dawn M. Rawls; one great-great nephew, Michael Rawls Jr.  one sister-in-law, Bernice Whitehead and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mae Whitehead will be conducted 12:00 Noon Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Prophet Harry L. Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until servie time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
