Mrs. Annie Lee Tatum, 89, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, October 31, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Tatum was born in Mecklenburg County, VA October 28, 1924 to the late Fred and Vileatha Boyd Craddock. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA. Mrs. Tatum was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Anderson Tatum, three sons, Robert Lee Tatum, Willie Tatum and Melvin Tatum and one daughter, Mary Lee Mitter. Cherishing her memories are eight children, James Tatum, Larry Tatum, Loyd Tatum, Barbara Jordan and Marie Bullock (Robert) all of Chase City, VA, Louis Tatum of South Boston, VA, Michael Tatum (Paula) of Dumfries, VA and Jerry Tatum (Yvette) of Richmond VA; 35 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert Cradock (Mary) of Skipwith, VA, Alford Craddock (Gladys) and Fred Willis Craddock both of Bridgeport, CT; one sister, Anna Smith of Chase City, VA; devoted friend, Trudy Carrington Tatum Fountain and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lee Tatum will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be Monday, 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Service 1:00 P.M.
