Annie Clarise Salley

Mrs. Annie Clarise Salley, 64 of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, July 2, 2007 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Salley was born in Mecklenburg County, VA Sept. 13, 1942 to the late Dennis and Nell Rachel Mallory Brown. She was a former seamstress at Cross Country Dist. Chase City, VA. Mrs. Salley was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Salley. Cherishing her memories are seven daughters, Rachel D. Salley, Agatha C. Salley Michelle A. Salley, Audrey Salley, Karen S. Rowlette (Bobby) all of Chase City, VA, Adora C. Salley of Greensboro, NC and Vera V. Winbush (Junious) of Henderson, NC; three sons, William A. Salley of Neptune, NJ Christopher Salley (Janice) of Chase City, VA and Tim W. Salley (Roslyn) of South Hill, VA; 25 grandchildren, two sisters, Yvonne Cook (Keith) of Virginia Beach, VA and Audrey Royster of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Dennis Roberts Jr. (Elsie) of Richmond, VA; two Aunts Elsie Ellis of Chase City, VA and Bessie Smith of Florence, SC; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Clarise Salley will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
