Anna Mae Jacobs

Mrs. Anna Mae Jacobs, 87, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Jacobs was born in Yonkers, NY May 20, 1920 to the late James A. and Maude Makley. She received her education in Yonkers Public Schools. She lived in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL and settled in Jersey City, NJ. She was employed by the Jersey City Public Schools as a lunch room attendant. Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jacobs, four sisters, Louise, Frances and Evelyn Carter and Dorothy Williams. Cherishing her memory are two brothers, James Carter (Jerry) of Clarksville, VA and Roland Carter (Vivian) of Yonkers, NY and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mae Jacobs will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 2, 2007 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Delmar Harris, officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 fourth street, Clarksville, VA.
