Amos Lee Broadie

Mr. Amos Lee Broadie 57, of Richmond, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, March 15, 2009 at CJW Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond, VA. Mr. Broadie was born in Williamston, NC May 15, 1951 to the late George Washington and Lucy Beatrice Wiggins Broadie. He attended the schools of Martin County, NC and was employed by Corrugated Box Co. Richmond, VA until his health failed. Cherishing his memories is his wife, Mrs. Jane Edward Atkins Broadie of Richmond, VA; five sisters, Gloria Robinson of Charles City, VA, Betty Dawes and Joyce Ann Boyd both of Robinsonville, NC, M. Drake of Brooklyn, NY and Joyce Lawrence of New York ; two brothers, Benjamin Broadie of Chesterfield, VA and James Earle Wiggins of Robinsonville, NC; four sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Amos Lee Broadie will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Russell Robertson, officiating. Burial will follow in New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3104 North Main St. Chase City, VA.
