Mr. Alvin Jackson Mosley, 68, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA.


Mr. Mosley was born in Red Oak, VA on March 18, 1955 to the late Althomas and Mildred Mosley. He received his early education in the public schools of Charlotte County, VA, and was a graduate of Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, VA. At an early age, he joined Salem Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. Mr. Mosley was a former employee of Burlington Industries, and was presently employed by Hitachi Energy in South Boston, VA (formerly ABB) for the past 24 years. He was an active member of Masonic Lodge #208. Mr. Mosley was a classic car enthusiast who loved attending car shows. He won several awards with his restored 1967 Chevy.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Naomi Mosley, Dorothy Bryant, Elsie Davis, and Gloria Pearson.


He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife of 45 years, Henrietta Mosley; three loving children, Vickie, Zandra, and Quentine (Dawn); two grandsons, Quincy and Curtis; one granddaughter, Elise; three sisters, Eva Powell, Grace Grant, and Bonnie Whitaker; one brother, Matthew Mosley (Michelle); three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.


Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Jackson Mosley will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. William Coleman, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.


Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
