Alonzo Troy Roane, Jr.

Master Alonzo Troy Roane, Jr., affectionately known as “AJ”, age 3, of Halifax, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at VCU Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Master Roane was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tampa, FL on April 24, 2012 to Spring Leppert and Alonzo Troy Roane, Sr. AJ loved being outdoors, playing basketball, paw patrol and pretending he was in Zombie Apocolypse. He also enjoyed eating donuts with his grandpa, and he adored his older sister and was very protective of his younger sister. Within his 3 ½ years of life, he left such an impact on all of our lives with his infectious smile and big hugs. AJ was always full of happiness; the smallest of things would make him smile.  A cuddler with a loving heart and a pure curious soul, AJ will forever remain cherished in the hearts of all that loved him. Cherishing his memories are his mother and step-father, Spring  and Terrence Bryant of Halifax, VA; father, Alonzo Troy Roane, Sr. of Florida, two sisters,  Avolina Roane and E'mani Bryant of Halifax, VA; grandmother, Robin Andrews of Halifax, VA, great-grandfather, Richard Andrews of Halifax, VA; eight aunts, Gabrielle Whitlow,  Brittany Leppert, Victoria Leppert, Alissa Andrews, Ashley Andrews, Chasitty Andrews ,Amber Trombley, and Tara Leppert; four uncles, Joshua Andrews, Christopher Andrews, Tyler Andrews, and Shannon Whitlow; seven special cousins, Christian Andrews, Isaiah Andrews, Issac Andrews, Brielle Stacy, Kamielle Stacy, Harmony Leppert and Raymond Leppert and a host of other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Leppert. A memorial service for Master Alonzo Troy Roane, Jr. will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.  Arrangements are by C. H.
