Alma Mack Daniels

Mrs. Alma Mack Daniels, 85, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Daniels was born in Chase City, VA on April 6, 1937 to the late Howard and Sallie Mack. She received her early education in the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA before relocating north to New York City and Newark, NJ. She returned to Chase City in 1975, and was a dedicated member of New Light Baptist Church, having served many years as the Church Clerk. Mrs. Daniels was a loving and dedicated homemaker, who enjoyed fishing in her spare time. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances, Ella and Lillian; two brothers, Howard, Jr., and Edward, and a granddaughter, Monica. She leaves to cherish her memories are her devoted husband of 50 years, Nelson Daniels of Chase City, VA; son, Donald (Tammy) of Westerville, OH; daughter, Jacqueline of Chase City, VA; grandchildren, Nafis (Letitia) of South Carolina, Khalil of New Jersey and Jameelah of New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Jaleel, Zayd, Hannah and Jennah; great-great grandson, Hazim; two sisters, Mattie Pleasants of Powhatan, VA and Joyce Thomas (Alvin) of Clarksville, VA; devoted nephew and caregiver, Theodore Arrington of Chase City, VA; sister-in-law, Edna Mack of Irvington, NJ; adopted sons, Gary Lewis and Reginald Henderson, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Mack Daniels will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A mask is required for all viewing and chapel services. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
