Allen Junius Simmons

Mr. Allen Junius Simmons, 71, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mr. Simmons was born in Mecklenburg County, VA March 15, 1937 to the late James Robert and Beatrice Jones Simmons. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Lands Chapel RZUA Church, Boydton, VA. He retired in 1999 from Mecklenburg County School Board Maintenance Dept. Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his children, Robin, James Allen and baby boy Simmons. He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife, Mary Jane Simmons of Boydton, VA; two sons, Miles Morton (Dianna) of Dolphin, VA and Milton Simmons (Eurgentine) of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Miles II and Marcus Morton, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Rozelle Watkins of Boydton, VA and Delores Fuller of La Plata, MD; one brother, John Simmons (Mary) of Waldorf, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Allen Junius Simmons will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at Lands Chapel RZUA Church, Boydton, VA. with Rev. Julia Fields, officiating and Rev. Lovely Moore delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning form 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by C.H.
