Allen Jefferson Bagbey

Mr. Allen Jefferson Bagbey, age 72, of Nelson, VA, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Clarksville Health and Rehab, in Clarksville, VA. Allen was born on June 9, 1952 to Harvey and Ruby “Frances” Bagbey in Roxboro, NC. After Allen graduated from Bluestone Senior High School, he went on to work at Burlington Industries. There were many hobbies Allen enjoyed when he wasn’t working which included hunting, racing cars like his once cherished 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, watching wrestling and Nascar as he was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan, and cheering for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Allen was an only child and was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Frances Bagbey, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his three children, Brandy Louise Bagbey Brown (Joshua) of Chase City, VA, Jonathan Allen Bagbey (Kristin) of Boydton, VA, and Heather Bagbey Mangum (Aleko Jaimé) of Buffalo Junction, VA. Allen was the proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren: Ndya Mangum, Aaron Brown, Isaac Brown, Naimira Mangum, Hayley Vaughan, Libby Brown, Clayton Vaughan, Abbey Brown, Kori Mangum, Hunter Bagbey, Kate Bagbey, and Bradley Bagbey.

The family is grateful for the wonderful care Allen was given at Clarksville Health and Rehab by their entire staff and specifically, his devoted CNA, Christine Tuck.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA  with Pastor Billy Hoover Coghill conducting the service.
