Alfred J. Coleman

Mr. Alfred J. Coleman, 80, of Creedmoor, NC entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Mr. Coleman was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on October 21, 1941 to the late William A. and Mary Lizzy Coleman. He attended the schools of Pittsylvania County, VA, and was a retired construction worker. Mr. Coleman enjoyed helping others, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary L. Glass, Annie M. Lee, Vernell Terry, Pearl A. Garner, Lillie A. Terry, John H. Coleman and William M. Coleman. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Alfred P. Coleman (Lois) of Smithfield, NC, Dennis J. Coleman (Stephanie) of Henderson, NC and Cynthia L. Ward (Steven) of Nelson, VA; a host of grandchildren; brother, Rev. Roger Coleman (Queen) of Buffalo Junction, VA; two devoted friends, Deborah and Vicky, a host of nieces and nephews, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service or Mr. Alfred J. Coleman will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Coleman officiating. Seating will be limited to 50 people. Mask are required to be worn for all services. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
