Alfred Duncan Puryear

Mr. Alfred Duncan Puryear, 60, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Woodbridge, VA. Mr. Puryear was born October 26, 1959 in Washington, DC to the late Alfred and Mary White Puryear. He attended Arlington Public Schools, and later settled in Manassas, VA. He worked for various companies, but what provided him the most joy was driving tractor trailers and rebuilding cars; a skillset he learned from his father. In addition to his parents, Mr. Puryear was preceded in death by his wife, Heidi Neal Puryear; stepson, Nakia Neal; sister, Gloria Diane Puryear; brother, Johnny Cornell Puryear, and a very special niece, Donetta Louise Puryear. He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Latoyia Burgess; son, David Jerry; three stepchildren, Serita Neal-Yancy, Benita Neal and Twanna Johnson; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Puryear-Stephens and Florence Puryear, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside service for Mr. Alfred Duncan Puryear will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the White Family Cemetery at St. Luke Baptist Church in Skipwith, VA with Rev. Curtis Moore officiating. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
