Alfred Douglas Cheatham

Mr. Alfred Douglas Cheatham, 56, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Cheatham was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on May 15, 1968 to the late Jimmy Lee Cheatham, Sr. and Mamie Lee Penick Cheatham. He received his education through the Mecklenburg County school system and was formerly employed by Lewis Tree Service for several years. He loved watching westerns and wrestling, walking, music, crossword puzzles, and taking rides.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Lee Cheatham, Jr., Felix Cheatham, and Larry Cheatham; two sisters, Shirley Ann Cheatham Walker and Donna Louise Cheatham; and two nieces, Ruth Teresa Boyd and Felicia Shenile Walker.

Cherishing his memories are one aunt, Clara Woody of South Hill, VA; two uncles, Jessie Penick of Chase City, VA and Felix Cheatham of Boydton, VA; his devoted niece, Dominique Cheatham of Clarksville, VA; four nephews, Kevin Cheatham of Richmond, VA, Marcus Cheatham, Azablon Cheatham and Javonte Cheatham all of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Alfred Douglas Cheatham will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 11, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Dominic Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Viewing will begin on Friday from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M.
