Alexander Daniel Brummell

Mr. Alexander Daniel Brummell, 78, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Brummell was born in Mecklenburg County, VA April 15, 1931 to the late Edgar P. and Mamie Evans Brummell. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retiree of North American Van Lines. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brummell; one son, Junior Brummell; and two brothers, Martin and Edgar P. Brummell Jr. Cherishing his memories are one son, Michael Brummell of New Jersey, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,  one sister, Annie Mildred Hill of Clarksville, VA; three brothers, Charlie Brummell (Mary Alice), Lawrence Brummell (Margie) all of Clarksville, VA and George Brummell (Watina) of Clarksville, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Alexander Daniel Brummell will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Earl Terry and Rev. Cornelius Ogburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
