Albert Jr. Newton

Mr. Albert Newton Jr., 83, of Austell, GA and formerly of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital, Austell, GA. Mr. Newton was born in Clarksville, VA July 3, 1931 to the late Albert Sr. and Annie Carrington Newton. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA. He was a retiree of Metropolitan Transit Authority, Washington, DC and a Korean War Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Beverley Newton of Austell, GA; two sons, Carlton Newton of Forest Hill, MD and Terry Newton Sr. (Yonna) Woodbridge, VA; five daughters, Jacqueline Newton and Janet Newton of Arlington, VA, Stephanie Newton of Austell, GA, Ann Moats of South Hill, VA and Pat Marks of Woodbridge, VA; one brother, Joseph Newton (Ann) of Newark, NJ; twenty three grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Albert Newton Jr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Cherry Hill Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Raymond Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for Mr. Newton will begin on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA. Services 11:00 A.M.
