Mr. Aaron Demond Wilson, 49, of Richmond, VA entered eternal rest on August 2, 2022 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond. Mr. Wilson, affectionately known as “Ace”, was born on July 5, 1973 to Mattie B. Oliver and the late Albert F. Wilson. He attended Charlotte County public schools, and joined St. Michael Baptist Church at an early age. On February 27, 2010, he joined in holy matrimony to Janice Barbour, and to this union one child was born. Ace enjoyed spending time with his family, as he was always willing to help anyone in need. In addition to his father, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ralph Wilson; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Bertha Brooks and paternal grandparents, Alice Wilson Lindsey and Bylinda Dailey. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Mattie Oliver (Willie) of Chase City, VA; His wife, Janice Wilson of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Sa'Ron Cook of South Hill, VA and Nakiya Barbour of Richmond, VA; one son, Tajir Cook of South Hill, VA; four step-daughters, Keona, Ticiara, Shania, and Naliza Barbour all of Richmond, VA; goddaughter, Coniesha Bryant; eight grandchildren; one sister, Cassandra Pettus (Anthony) of Chase City, VA; three brothers, Tremayne Wilson of Chase City, VA, Mckinley Wilson of North Carolina and Barry Staten (Gale) of Richmond, VA; nine aunts, two uncles, eight nieces, seven nephews; mother-in-law, April Brown (Nelson) of Crewe, VA; father-in-law, Reginald Pitts, Sr. of Baltimore, MD, three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; devoted friend he treated as a sister, Monique Roberts (Sherman); lifetime friend, Zenobia Cook, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Aaron Demond Wilson will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. James Lindsey, officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A mask is required for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
