Rosa Mae Walton

Mrs. Rosa Mae Barksdale Walton, 63, of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest Friday, September 21, 2018 at Sentara Woodview, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Walton was born in Halifax County, VA April 19, 1955 to the late Frank Womack and Annie Barksdale Chaney. She attended the schools of Halifax County, VA and was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church, Halifax, VA. Mrs. Walton was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Albert Walton; one son, Melvin Junior Barksdale, and three brothers, Kenneth, Glenn Sr. and John Barksdale. Cherishing her memories are two sons, Joseph Carr (Rhonda) of Buffalo Junction, VA and Timothy Walton (Farrah) of Oxford, NC, two grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, six step great-grandchildren; two brothers, George E. Barksdale of Lynchburg, VA and David J. Barksdale of South Boston, VA; two sisters, Annie B. Edmonds and Pattie L. Barksdale both of South Boston, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. No services are planned. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
