Rev. Andrew Wynn

Rev. Andrew Wynn, 88, of Baltimore, MD and formerly of Victoria, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Baltimore, MD. Rev. Wynn was born July 29, 1926 in Lunenburg County, VA to the late Richard B. and Irene C. Winn. He was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church in Victoria, VA and received his early education in the Lunenburg County schools. Rev. Wynn was a World War II US Army Veteran and retired as a Coke Oven Operator with Bethlehem Steel Company after thirty years of service. He received his B.A. in Theology in 1978 and M. Div. in 1982 from the Virginia Seminary, Lynchburg, VA. He was the former pastor of East Side Baptist Church, Baltimore, MD and was a member of the Baltimore County Ministerial Alliance and Vicinity, Baptist Ministers Conference of Baltimore and The United Baptist Missionary Convention. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Claudette Marable Wynn and ten siblings. Cherishing his memories are a son, Dr. David A. Wynn (Priscilla) of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, David Jr., Diamond and Diandrea, three brothers and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Rev. Andrew Wynn will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church, Victoria, VA with Rev. Dr. James Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Mitchell Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Services 3:00 P.M.
