Rahman Sr. White

Mr. Rahman White, Sr., 47 of Hopewell, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, August 16, 2015. Mr. White was born in Newark, NJ June 25, 1968 to the late John White Jr. and Mary Ann Coleman White. He was a graduate of Hillside High School of New Jersey and served 26 years in U.S. Army prior to retiring. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Cherise L. White of Hopewell, VA; daughters, Natika L. White of Philadelphia, PA, Anthea L. White of Emporia, VA, and Kimberly A. White, Genesta K. Shephard and Zaniya R. Giddens all of Hopewell, VA; sons, Devon L. White of Hopewell, VA, Rahman White, Jr. of New York and Rahmir Rahman White of Hopewell, VA; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Gina Johnson (Robert) of Chase City, VA and Juanita White of New Jersey; four brothers, John and Gerald White of New Jersey, and Larry and Dennis White (Terry) of Maryland; one aunt, three uncles, 11 sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Rahman White, Sr. will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. Ricky A. Lee delivering the eulogy. Military honors will follow. Interment will be private. Public viewing for Mr. White will be held Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
