Linda Staten Clements

Mrs. Linda Machelle Staten Clements, 54, of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Clements was born in Charlotte County, VA on January 29, 1965 to the late Gracie Lee Staten and Joe Louis Daniel. At an early age, she joined First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg, VA. She attended the public schools of Charlotte County, VA where she excelled in track and field. Mrs. Clements relocated to Roanoke, VA and earned a business degree from National College of Business & Technology. She was an employee of Allstate with over 25 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clements was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Clements, Jr. Cherishing her memories are four brothers, Leonard Daniel of Saxe, VA, Clifford R. Daniel (Vernetta) and Kenneth L. Daniel both of Hyattsville, MD and Devin Respeise of Tallahassee, FL; one sister, Rashida Williams of Roanoke, VA; devoted grandmother, Alma Staten of Saxe, VA; one uncle, Dennis Staten (Grindl) of Drakes Branch, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Staten Clements will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. John Craighead delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
