Kevin Lamont Oliver

Mr. Kevin Lamont Oliver, 45, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, March 22, 2020 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Oliver was born in South Hill, VA May 23, 1974 to the late James Whitehead and Joyce Oliver. He was a 1992 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and was previously employed by Virginia Homes in Boydton, VA. He was a member of Silone Baptist Church, and enjoyed collecting baseball hats and watching football and basketball. In addition to his father, Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Long, and grandfather, Thomas Wilson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories two sons, K’veon Oliver and Ja’keem Oliver both of Chase City, VA; one daughter, Taquasia Oliver of Chase City, VA; his mother, Joyce Oliver of Chase City, VA five aunts, Juanita, Ida, Brenda, and Mary Ann Whitehead, and Janice Spencer (Tyrone); four uncles, Calvin Oliver (Audrey), Ray Oliver (Brenda), Rickey Oliver (Regina) and Stephen Oliver; special cousins, Marc Oliver and Chavalous Canada; God-sister, Tracey Crute, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A private graveside service was conducted Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Silone Memorial Garden with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer officiating. Public viewing was held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
