Joyce Harris Fields

Mrs. Joyce Harris Fields, 67, of Nelson, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Hock Family Pavilion, Durham, NC. Mrs. Fields was born in Granville County, NC December 18, 1947 to Clarence Harris and the late Eliza Royster Harris. She was a graduate of Mary Potter High School, class of 1966, and was a retired employee of Russell Stover Candies. Mrs. Fields was a member of Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, Nelson, VA where she served in various auxiliaries. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Odell L. Fields of Nelson, VA; one daughter, Zeda Fields of Henderson, NC; two grandchildren, De’ja N. Fields and Cameron D. Fields of Nelson, VA; her father, Clarence Harris of Oxford, NC; two sisters, Judy H. Harris (Ben) of Oxford, NC and Gene Harris of New York; two brothers, Clarence Harris, Jr. of Henderson, NC and Robert Harris of Oxford, NC; two sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Hargrove and Carolyn Wilkins; three brothers-in-law, Robert Fields Jr., Benjamin Fields and Elmore Fields and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Harris Fields will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 17, 2015 at  Wharton Memorial  Baptist Church, Nelson , VA with Rev. Dr. James A. Hudson, Jr. delivering the eulogy and Rev. Cornelius Ogburn, assisting. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2 Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.  Services 11:00 A.M.
