Henry Oscar Freeman

Mr. Henry Oscar Freeman, 86, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, December 5, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Freeman was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on May 28, 1933 to the late John and Lucy Williams Freeman. He attended the historic Thyne Institute, and was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Before retiring, he was a logger and a self-employed small engine repairman. In his spare time, Henry enjoyed arts and crafts, playing the guitar and singing . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Couch and a brother, John Freeman. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Judith Odella Rose Harris Freeman of Chase City, VA; one son, Henry Lamont Freeman of Richmond, VA; three daughters, Sandra Freeman and Angela Freeman Wade (Floyd, Jr.) all of Chase City, VA and Lori Jackson (Robert) of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucy Freeman Burton of Chase City, VA, four sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday December 10, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
