Gladys Elizabeth Mallory

Ms. Gladys Elizabeth Mallory, 77 of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Ms. Mallory was born in Mecklenburg County, VA April 14, 1936 to the late Joseph and Ella Richards Keeton. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Finneywood Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She was a homemaker. Cherishing her memories are six children, Sydner Lee Mallory of Virginia Beach, VA, Melvin Mallory, Cora Tucker (Dexter), Marion Elam (Jerry), and Steven Mallory, all of Chase City, VA and Charlene Haskins (Alex) of Red Oak, VA; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two step-grandsons; two step-granddaughters; two sisters, Ruth Hayes and Mary Love both of Chase City, VA; a very dear friend Brenda Mallory and a host of other relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Gladys Elizabeth Mallory will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott and Rev. Phillip Staten officiating. Burial will follow in Finneywood Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
