Mr. Christopher J. Hubbard, 46, of Red Oak, VA entered into eternal rest Monday, June 22, 2020 at his residence. Christopher was born in South Boston, VA April 26, 1974 to the late Loretta Hubbard and Nathaniel Teddy Staten. He was a lifelong resident of Red Oak, VA and received his education in the Charlotte County public schools. He worked as a seasonal mechanic for Microsoft. Chris was so caring of other people that in his spare time he would help the neighborhood residents with various jobs, using his natural mechanical ability. He also volunteered at the local food bank to help the elderly bring their groceries to their vehicles. He took pride in knowing that he could help others. He leaves to cherish his memories five sisters, Tonia Pearson (Robert) of Schofield Barracks, HI, Candice Phillip (Amrod) of Midlothian, VA, Cynthia Boyd, Natalie Staten of VA and LaTanya Dodson of Chase City, VA; three brothers, Nicholas Davis of Landover, MD, Kevin Staten and Nathan Staten of VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
