Bernice Malone Harris

Bernice Malone Harris, 81, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Harris was born in Baltimore, MD January 29, 1936 to the late Isaac Bouldin and Annie Rainey. She attended the schools of Lunenburg County, VA and was a member of St. Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Harris retired from Shirlington Hotel after 11 years of service, and was a private caregiver thereafter for five years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Harris. Cherishing her memories are three children, Linwood Harris of Baltimore, MD, Linda Lee Harris of Alexandria, VA and Robert Lee Harris, Jr. of Arlington, VA; five grandchildren, Charles, Lynette, Linwood, Jr., Spencer and Tyarra; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael Malone of Baltimore, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Malone Harris will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney W. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will begin on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
