February 24, 2013 Charles has been a friend to us for many years. We will always remember how he had a special way of telling a story that made us laugh. He was not a sad person so we will not remember him in that way. Charles loved life and if he was your friend, you had a friend indeed. We love you Charles and may you rest in peace. Until we meet again, Michaele' McKeever-Davis and Calvin Davis. ~ Michaele' and Calvin Davis, North Chesterfield, Virginia

To my dear uncle Leon you was a inspiration to many. You touch so many peoples lives. You always helped strangers and your story may have been like many. You wasn't affraid to tell people your story and your struggles. I know that you are resting now in Heaven with granddaddy and the rest of our family that has gone on before you. Stay sweet and I will always miss and luv you forever.

The Barnette Family: Charles was a greatperson and friend who will be sorely missed. Few things excited him more than talking about turning failures into sucesses and the Washington Redskins. His passing was also our loss. Rest assured that Charles was loved by us and so many others. He was a "giant" of a father to our granddaughter. She loved him so much. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
